The Longest's

Gretchen went for her 4 month checkup today and second set of shots...which were awful for both mommy and Gretchen!! She weighs in at 15 pounds, which is the 78th percentile, and she is 26 1/4 inches long, which is the 98th percentile! She is taking after her daddy and sister...tall and skinny!! She got a clean bill of health from the Dr. Tonight after we ate dinner Gretchen tried rice cereal for the first time. The Dr. said that it would be good to start trying it, just so that she starts to get used to the different texture. So it's not at all for nutrition just for fun! The Saturday after Thanksgiving we went out and picked out our Christmas tree. Nora is actually the one who made the final decision. When we got home we all decorated it and Nora placed the Snowman on the top of the tree...with Daddy's help of course! THE ONE!! Nora and Gretchen with our tree. Matt took Nora out to go sledding in our backyard after our first big snowfall. She had so much fun. It was hard to get her to come back in the house. Her first time down the hill she ended up going over the landscaping rocks and into a plant that I didn't cut down...it was so funny!! All bundled up! Daddy's turn! Snowball Fight!! Nora's snowman!

We took a trip to Was hington, IN to visit Grandpa and Grandma Longest. This was the first time that they were meeting Gretchen. It was so sweet watching them with her, she laughed and smiled with them. We also met up with Uncle Hal, Aunt Shelly, Jeremy, Courtney, Haven, Owen, and Clint.
