Gretchen Loves Sweet Potatoes

Image
Gretchen did not take a big interest in rice cereal, infact she hated it! We even tried rice cereal with apples and she didn't like that much either...so I decided to forego them both and tried sweet potatoes...she LOVED them!! Here are a few pictures of her after! It's very important to suck on one's thumb while eating...right?!?!

Nora's 3 year checkup

Image
Today we went to the Dr. for Nora's 3 year well child exam. She checked out perfectly! My big girl is 34.6 lbs and 41 inches tall!!! She is the average weight of a 4-5 year old and the average height of a 5 year old...so needless to say for a 3 year old she is OFF THE CHARTS!! I was wondering why her 4T pants and shirts were getting a little short on her, now I know! Even though she may be the average 4-5 year old in weight and height, she is still the average 3 year old when it comes to her stubborness and attitude! She is a little stinker! Then there are the moments like when she comes up and hugs me and says for no reason at all, "I love you, mommy!" That just melts my heart! She is my little angel and I wouldn't trade her for anything in the world! Love you, Nora!

Gretchen Talking in Bed

This is Gretchen talking after I laid her down for bed one night. It's dark and you can't see her, which is sad because she was so cute! Enjoy!

The Longest Family Musicians!

Image
Nora loves to go down to Daddy's room and "rock." This night Gretchen decided to get in on the action too! Watching Nora and Matt together was so much fun! They are two peas in a pod! I think Matt was actually in heaven that night!! Standing just like her daddy! Playing with the foot pedals! My wonderful husband...who is an awesome guitar player! I wish more people could here how amazing he is...and he is self taught! Gretchen getting in on the fun! ( and sitting up on her own!)

Sisterly Love

Image
Nora and Gretchen love being together! This day they were playing dollhouse and I was amazed at how much Gretchen actually enjoyed it! Then later in the evening they were laying on the floor watching Madagascar 2 together...it was so cute! After these pictures were taken, Gretchen rolled from her tummy to her back for the first time!

Happy Valentines Day!

We hope that everyone had a wonderful Valentine's Day! Enjoy the pictures!!

Gretchen's 6 month checkup

Today we went to Gretchen's 6 month check up. She had to get three more shots which were not fun. She cried so hard when she got poked and then I picked her up and it was as if nothing had been done to her. She stopped crying and started smiling at the nurse. The ear infection that she was diagnosed with on Monday is already looking a lot better. He said there is no redness at all and very minimal fluid. Her weight is up to 17 lbs 8 oz, which puts her in the 78% for her age, and her length was 27 1/2 inches, which puts her in the 98% for her age! She continues to be way above average for her length. In fact she is the average length of a 9 month old! She still is not big on eating rice cereal and the Dr. suggested adding a little bit of applesauce to it to see if she likes that. Once she starts to do well with that we can begin to introduce sweet potatoes and other veggies. Gretchen finally rolled over both ways! She rolled over from her back to stomach while she was in her crib so

Outdoor Family Fun

Image
On one sunny snowy day we decided to bundle up the whole family and head outside for some fun in the snow! Nora had so much fun sledding down the hill. Gretchen loved just sitting and watching her sister, and Sadie loves it anytime she can get outside with us and run all over the place! Matt and I just had fun laughing! This was Gretchen's first time out in the snow! Sadie loves eating snow! Getting ready to head down the hill! Nora going down on her tummy! "Did you see that Mommy?!"
