Nora's First Dentist Visit

Nora went today for her first dental visit. She was so excited and such a brave girl, she went back all by herself! They said her teeth looked great! When she was all done they gave her a new "sponge bob" toothbrush, toothpaste, floss, and a cool toy. Since I didn't get any pictures of her actually sitting in her chair, I took a couple of her with her new toothbrush and paste. Let me tell you my heart sunk when they took her back all by herself...she is growing up way too fast!!!!!

The Longest Family Vacation July 2010

Back in July we took what has become our annual Longest Family Vacation to the cottage! We had so much fun. It is always such a relaxing and fun week for the entire family. Hey everyone! I hope that this finds you all happy and healthy. We are happy here at the Longest household, just not too healthy. The girls have been fighting a cold for about 2 weeks if not longer. I had strep a little over a month ago and Matt has been having issues with his feet and legs again! Man, I cannot wait for spring to get here!!! On a happier note, the girls are getting so big. As I posted in a previous blog, Nora is the average height of a 5 year old, and Gretchen is the average height of a 9 month old (that was at her 6 month check up). Gretchen will be 7 months old in just a few days and she has 2 teeth poking through on the bottom! I can't believe that she is big enough to have teeth! Speaking of teeth, Nora went with me to the dentist today, in preparation for her first dental visit in April. She was so curious and I think that she is going to do great! Nora is also becoming very clutzy! I think that has to do with how fast she is growing, that and being cooped up...

How time flies...

I can't believe that it is already June 10. I feel like I blink and the day is over. So far this summer we are having a lot of fun. The really sad part is that we have been so busy, we haven't even been able to make it out to the family cottage, which we usually 'live' at during the summer! Nora keeps asking when we are taking our vacation to the cottage, which we started last year and had soooo much fun that we are hoping GiGi will let us vacation there every year! I made the mistake of telling her that we aren't taking our vacation until towards the end of the summer, so now she keeps asking "when is the end of summer coming, I want to go on vacation!" Well, I don't know about you, but I am not ready for the summer to end!! Things have been going pretty good for the family.
